I've always sketched, painted, photographed, and constructed with what is around me, and that continues to inform my work now. Finding beauty in the rawness of a thing. I am in the zone when making imagery that draws the viewer in a bit closer and alters their reality—if even just for a moment. I approach creative situations as puzzles to solve. And for me, the solution often comes through building things—whether in a digital matrix, a custom form, armature wire, articulating arms, or from a shop full of flux and fire. I was born in Bogota, raised in Indiana, and after14 yrs in NYC relocated my studio to Los Angeles in 2020. Proud Cat Dad.
