I grew up on Shelter Island, NY, where I started photography at a young age. I moved to Miami in 2003. I started my photography career focused on architecture/design, hospitality, and food. I have shot for magazines and commercial clients. In 2012, I won AIA Miami's Photographer of the Year award for my DEN Architecture work. I started a project named the Good Miami Project at www.goodmiami.org, which provides free photo shoots for Miami-based non-profits to help them with their missions. This work has led me to focus on portrait photography to help tell important stories. In 2023, I won an Oolite Arts Creator Ellie for my Good Miami Project work.
